Ego's Prison

We're in a prison.  We've imprisoned ourselves.  Inside this prison, air is heavily poisoned and polluted; a dreadful darkness has invaded the inner space.  Because of tightly closed doors and windows, neither sunlight nor fresh air can penetrate inside the house and we are suffocating.  All our foodstuffs are rotted; we are seriously ill and on the verge of death...

Since we do not see the outside beautiful-limitless-bright world, we deny it and take the dark-poisonous-shabby atmosphere of the prison as the real world.  We're happy with pain causing pleasures and worthless pastimes of our confinement and are heedless of real lasting joys and pleasures of the free world...

Outside the prison, the breeze of love is stormily blowing and there are constantly joyful news breaking out.  However, behind those doors and walls, there's no news of love but of sad and boring events.

The poisonous air has confused and disturbed you.  You don't know what you're doing or where you're going.  Your eyes are left in darkness and you're deprived of perceiving the truth.

This is not life, for life is freedom yet you're in confinement and captivity.  Life is to be able to see, yet you're blind.  Living in a dark prison is terror, anxiety, illness and brings a cruel death and a sinister end...

Open up the doors and windows and let the divine life flows into your world so you could regain your strength and feel free again.

But what are these doors and windows?  They're your judgments and deductions, your doubts and skepticisms.  All you have to do to open the doors is to believe; rescue shall be then possible...

Shatter the walls down so the sun shines upon your being and makes it a part of itself.  Walls of conceit and selfishness have imprisoned you.  Demolish them for this is the very self-realization.  Don't tarry, for out of this prison blessings abound; else they turn to wretchedness...

Someone is knocking at your door.  Open it, lest he/she goes away.  For if he/she goes, God shall go.  Open up the door and welcome him/her.  Shatter the walls down and hold him/her in your arms, for he/she is eagerly desirous of you.  Cry out and call upon him/her...Don't cease searching until you find him/her, yet don't seek in vain for he/she is now near you.  Don't go too far.
