The Readiness to Fly

The Divine instructions of the holy teacher awaken, primarily, the soul to consciousness and divine awareness.  He tries to open our eyes and to make our ears hear.  He leads us toward a full comprehension and observation.  He makes us understand that our knowledge is trivial, if none at all and all our moves, thoughts, acts and attitudes are wrong, detrimental and jeopardizing.  In this first step, he develops in us a complete submission and receptiveness and prepares us for the second step which is to perceive divine mysteries...

In the first step, the guide tries to wipe out our good and bad delusions and dreams.  He intends to delete and raze blasphemous mental structures.  He needs, therefore, to flatten whatever we've built and risen so far to provide empty spaces for building a gigantic palace instead.  To break down all idols in our life, he uses the power of love and the sword of awareness to attack our selfishness and conceit.  He shows us our ignorance, our weaknesses and limits, our corruption and sickness, our deviation and bewilderment, and the inner and outer nature of this life.  If only we show enough resistance, he certainly eliminates all our egotism...

To encourage the process of returning to the Lord, the holy teacher enlightens our mind with his divine light and grants us light.  It depends on us to preserve it or to waste it...

He, first, tries to stop us and to stop the trend of our life just for a moment.  Then, he proceeds to shift the direction and the nature of our acts.  Nonetheless, he does not take any action unless we truly accept and want him to do so; for the Lord has given free will to man and the divine teacher shall not interfere with it.  He guides those who confide in him, are submitted to him and are at his disposition.  He may well teach thousands of people, yet one out of them may succeed to complete the very first step.  He guides, but only those who listen with all their heart shall be guided; and only those who act accordingly, answer his call and comprehend his sign shall find salvation...

In the first stage of guidance, the divine teacher holds out his hand to us. If we grasp it and put our hand into his, then we've accomplished the first step.  In the second step, he shall conduct us through worlds of divine mysteries.  However, as reported throughout the history of movements of spiritual redemption, most people will release the savior's hand except those who truly long for the Lord.  He then is not allowed to help them anymore for the divine law has deprived him of such authorization...

The divine teacher gives us, first, a message; if we hear this message and understand its meaning, we shall rise up and follow him.  If we observe and realize our present compromising situation, we shall give up all opinions and judgments and we become actually submitted and receptive.  This is a stage where we know nothing and we desire nothing.   In the absence of all resistance, God's mysteries shall be revealed to us for then we shall be deserving persons.  There shall be no danger for we have renounced our egotism.  We shall be trustworthy for we have entered the divine precinct.  Satan is forbidden to enter the sacrosanct shrine...
