Deadly Diseases and Life Elixir
Now let's examine factors that have deprived man from the Flow of Divine Guidance. What are the causes and factors of his deviation and ruin? What are causes of obscurity and evil? What is the factor of vice and wickedness?
We are going to examine these questions from few points of view just to realize that they are in fact but one - the shadow of the One, indeed.
According to the first point of view, the root of all these ills lies in the dark I-ness and the satanic ego and their manifestations such as: selfishness, self-conceit, vanity, self-regard, self-complacency and self-centeredness.
The second point of view considers delusion as the root of those ills. Delusion is false dreams and phantasms; it is false thoughts and feelings and it can affect everything like; delusion of knowledge, delusion of power and capability, delusion of seeing and hearing, delusion of God-worshipping, delusion of being, delusion of guidance, delusion of goodness, delusion of the Divinity,...and delusion of life and so forth... Also wrong deductions, false suppositions and hasty judgments are conspicuous examples of delusion. Delusion is lie and lie is delusion...
According to the third point of view, hatred and ill will, wrong doing, ill-thinking and pessimism, lack of affection, discord and separation, stress and restlessness, hysteria and disorder, contradiction and violence, grudge and wrath are evil factors.
The fourth point of view stresses gloomy thoughts and feelings, evil inclination and likings, hypocrisy and show-off, whims and fancies, self-deception and self-denial, skepticism, lie, avidity, jealousy, arrogance, fanaticism, fear, hasty judgment, ignoring the reality, evil games and tactics.
The fifth point of view focuses on sins and errors, acting against divine laws and commands, insubordination and disobedience from word and guidance of the Divine Spirit and also following satanic ideas and suggestions.
The sixth point of view knows as responsible previous influences, effects of the past life, karmic consequences and accumulated reactions.
The seventh point of view puts emphasis on attachments and dependencies, spiritual and material possessions.
The eighth point of view points up ignorance, forgetfulness and negligence, incapability of seeing, hearing and understanding, darkness and unawareness.
The nth point of view...
The above mentioned factors are few dimensions of wicked and dark egotism. They are indication that one is following the false, destructive and evil trend.
How is it possible to sweep away evil and wickedness? How is it possible to turn into the path of divine guidance and to return to the unbounded truth? What are the foundations of an elevated life? What is the source of goodness and greatness? How is it possible to deliver oneself from pain and trouble? What is the way to salvation and freedom of the soul?
The Lord Most High, through His Spirit, messengers and Elect, has always given one answer to these essential and vital questions - love, which form and appearance have only changed with time. "Truly, every moment, in every thing and everywhere, show your loving kindness and draw yourself closer to it."
The essence of divine teachings is the revelation of love. The remaining teachings are comments on love and explain its manifestation. All schools and methods are about a form of love. One seems more beautiful, while the other appears less attractive; one more complete and the other less explicit.
Therefore, "living lovingly in the presence of the Living God," is the common point of view among prophets and godly men and this teaching is the key to enjoy an elevated life and to be guided along the divine path.
What are the dimensions and signs of this greatest teaching which is considered to be the supporting pillar of the heavens and the earth? How can one reveal his love to the Lord and perceive His Presence?
Submission, service, attention and remembrance of divine names, faith, kindness, self control, avoiding sins and errors, observing inner silence, encouraging divine thoughts and insights are all considered as tokens of one's love for the Lord and as dimensions of one's devotion to Him. These spiritual practices entail, on the other hand, the revelation of love and manifestation of the truth. One ought to live for the Lord, for the sake of His love, in His Presence and to remain at His disposition. To submit oneself to the Spirit of God, to obey His orders and to follow the Flow of Divine Guidance is the way to a transcendental life and deliverance from pain, sorrow, darkness and evil and it shall eventually lead to the union with the Lord.
On the contrary, ignorance, hatred, egotism, delusion, sleep and forgetfulness are symbols of evil and vice.
How is it possible to dissipate darkness and to get rid of deadly deceits? How can one eliminate egotism and selfishness? What is the way to awakening? What should be done for the revelation of the truth?
Every prophet, godly man and divine teacher came to answer to these questions. Every divine teaching and Holy Scriptures was sent to solve these questions. They all taught one thing and agreed unanimously upon one word. Only, appearances and forms of that "Unique Word" and "Greatest Teaching" seemed to be different and various. That common teaching recommended people to follow the Flow of Divine Guidance and to obey the Spirit of God, in other words it preached to live lovingly in the Presence of the Lord. These tow precepts are the tow faces of the Flow of Divine Guidance and the returning to the Lord.
Love the Lord. Show your devotion to the creator by caring for His creatures. Reveal the love you bear for your lord. Be submitted to Him. Be at His service. Praise His names with due attention. Control your ego and avoid committing sins. Obey your Beloved's desires. Perceive your Beloved in everything you see, in every voice you hear, in every moment you live. These are signs of guidance and obedience from the Flow of Divine Guidance. Every religion is an interpretation and explanation of this love and this presence.
The only way to be delivered from wickedness and evil and to fulfill our main duty is to manifest our love for the Lord and to spread the Divine Presence* both in our inner world and in the world outside.
The essence and the principles of a transcendental life reside also in this very Presence of the Divine in one's love for Him.
The truth is one and unique; yet within the plurality of existence it seems to be many. Likewise, the ways to reach to this unbounded Truth and to His Living Presence is also one even though it may appear to be various.
Contemplate the unity in plurality in order to perceive the Peerless One.
* Few dimensions of the Divine Presence are the worship of God, longing for Him, seeing Him in everything, paying attention to Him, being devoted to Him, to put Him in the center of one's existence, aspiring to His Presence...
