The Gardener

The Lord sowed a seed in man's being - a seed holding all the creation's mysteries and concealing divine might and light.  The Lord Most High has given His Holy Spirit to man- that very seed.  His Holy Spirit is not separated from Him, just as sunlight and the sun.

His Spirit was a trust He presented to mountains, forests, and seas, to the earth and the heavens.  Trembling and fearful before the majesty of this divine trust they did not accept to receive It for they found not the necessary capacity in themselves.  Yet man willing to receive It and he accepted the great trust of the Lord...

The Lord blew His Spirit into man and trusted His heart to him.  Man's being is the ground where the Lord has sowed His might and light in it.

However this ground - man's mind, heart and soul - has lost its fertility.  No seed shall grow in it.  This soil is covered with weeds - fears and doubts.  Stones of resistance and conditioning have made it a rough and fallow.  It has been deprived of water for such a long time that it is dying or is barely alive.  Although the Spirit of God is eternal and cannot penetrate It, but the sown seed is also dying for the soil is now a desert.

The seed has to spring up so man's divine mission may be accomplished.  If the seed springs up, God has then manifested Himself in man and the union with Him has been realized.

Woe to us if we do not let the seed sprout for divine tribulation and curse shall eternally surround our life.  Woe to us if we do not return this great trust- the Lord's heart to Him or if we give it back agonizing or dead for His heart is the most precious thing to the All-powerful and Almighty Lord.  If we return to Him this dear and lovely trust all blooming, we shall surely make Him very happy.  He shall give us in return His boundless joy and bliss as a gift.  But if we neglect taking care of this great trust, tribulation and hardship shall surround our existence to let us know the consequence of the promise we broke and the trust we betrayed...

What's going on here?  It's simple.  Seeds have been sowed in an unyielding-spoiled ground like our bodies, minds and hearts and they are deprived of water, sunlight and nutriment...Yet there comes a kind gardener, a divine teacher.  He weeds, removes pebbles and eliminates harmful insects and worms; he irrigates the garden and by cutting unnecessary branches he makes the way easier for light to reach far corners; he fertilizes its soil and provides the best conditions for the seed to grow.  After the seed has sprouted, the gardener continues to nurse its shoot until the day it becomes completely fecund and bears fruits...

The gardener is a teacher who by his divine teachings prepares and enriches the unyielding ground of our being; he enlivens it by transferring to it a current of awareness and awakening.  He causes the divine nature to flourish within our being and brushes aside obstacles so the divine love and the Lord may manifest themselves in us...

Only when this seed flourishes salvation and happiness shall be realized in us.  The Lord has concealed Himself within this seed.  A boundless world is hidden inside this seed.  The real Paradise lies in the core of this seed.  Therefore, try to make it spring up within your being, try hard indeed...
