The River's Fish

Imagine the Flow of Divine Guidance as a river and man as a fish in it swimming eagerly towards the sea.  The destination of the river as well as whatever it carries is to join the sea. Fish like men, knowing or not are swimming towards the sea and their main goal is to be released into the unbounded sea.  There's no other destination for them and nothing else matters to them except this very goal.

Only those who get into the course of this big and beautiful river - the course of divine guidance - shall enter into the unbounded sea and shall reach boundlessness and shall experience salvation, happiness and union with the Infinite...

How is it possible to reach this life-giving and delivering river?  The river can be reached if one finds the trends conducting to the river; by following divine instructions.

How is it possible to get in the course of this river that travels towards a boundless joy?  Absolute obedience from divine commandments and principles and submission to the Divine Presence lead to this river...

Meanwhile, most people are like fish living in shallow-stagnant-muddy waters next to the river or in dead marshes and stinking swamps full of sludge.  They shall not reach the main goal, serenity and real pleasure.  They shall always remain in captivity- in stinking cemetery of the swamp.  Their life looks like it too, stagnant and perturbed.  Everything in their life - like a carrion-filled marsh- is also dead.  They are continuously turning around themselves.  They have a repetitious and  monotonous existence. Any movement is caught in slowness.  Animosity,  terror and danger are overwhelmingly spread.  The marsh is full of dangerous-deadly snakes and stinging creatures...

This is how most people live in this world.  Ninety persons out of every hundred have such an existence.

Prophets and godly men came to tell us this is not how we should live; there is a sublime, comfortable and beautiful life other than this rotten existence in these spoiled waters in this troubled-dangerous land.

They say that living in a marsh ends in death, corruption and depravity; every moment of it is but pain and trouble and it shall not lead to salvation and happiness.

Avail yourself of the flowing river.  Throw yourself in it and be its traveling companion.

You swimming souls, your favorite life is in the river for every moment of it is progress and closeness to the sea of serenity and to the boundless world of freedom.  There is no danger threatening you, nor any need of useless efforts.  Even if you remain still and let yourself to the flow of the river, you still shall enter the sea.

Everything into the river flows forth and moves on.  Its water is not stinking, sludgy and gloomy; but it is limpid and clear; it is not dangerous but it is salutary...

To leave this stinking marsh full of carrion and to enter into the river that flows back to the Lord, one has to be submitted and pay close attention to the carriers of divine guidance, to prophets, to godly men and masters who are as birds holding us in their beak and rescuing us from painful life in the marsh and carrying us to the river and releasing us into that current of life...

Sometimes, some streams flow out of muddy-stinking waters and one can also follow them to reach the river; the course of these streams is same as divine teachings...

To join and to enter the boundless-beautiful-pure sea of the Lord's Being that breathes spirit into us, we ought to renounce our will, to be submitted with our whole being and to dare to trust ourselves to the wonderful flow of divine will that shall guide us to salvation, annihilation and shall cause us to be reborn in the Lord...
