Teachings of Light and Darkness

Every teaching that helps one to draw himself closer to the Lord, awakens him to a greater comprehension of divine presence and increases his mindfulness of God is, indeed, a guidance coming from the Divine Spirit.  Teachings of the Spirit of God awaken and increase one's awareness; they eliminate selfishness and egotism.  They preach love, kindness and abnegation.  Union with the Lord is an outstanding characteristic of these teachings...

Teachings of the Spirit of God are not mere words, they are not meant to instruct only one aspect of human mind.  If they have a verbal appearance yet they are full of awareness and knowledge.  They take both sides and the entirety of mind into consideration, simultaneously and in a complete balance.  They use words as well as visions to teach through which the love for the Lord pours forth...

All holy instructions put the Lord, in a way or the other, as the center of their teachings, their goal, their means, their way.  The nature and every moment of each teaching are somehow concerned with Him.

The direction of these teachings follows the Lord's satisfaction and not that of the evil I-ness.  But satanic teachings try to provoke forgetfulness of God and go against the Lord's pleasure.  Satan's instructions make one's mind darker and rawer and push it into a deeper sleep and strengthen self- conceit by encouraging individual satisfaction and selfish desires.  Satan preaches and spreads resentment and hatred.  His teachings intend to deny the Lord as the unique power and source of existence and as the principal cause to everything.  He tries instead to points to the multiplicity of powers, causes and sources in existence.  His teachings are established upon discord, separation...

Satan's words are empty of awareness and he uses deductions, conditioned understanding and limits to teach.  His teachings develop one part of human mind and push it into a negative growth instead of encouraging a positive and upward one.  Therefore one's mind becomes unbalanced and loses its natural state and falls into corruption and does not function anymore.  This is "the great veil" or a science leading to deviation and separation from the Lord...

Satan's teachings results in harming people and other beings and in violating their rights; while the Divine Spirit encourages service, kindness, harmony, union and increasing awareness...

In the course of his teachings, Satan points to different ways and various means; he shows the nature of things as being "different and diverse" and not as being of "a unique divine nature."  His teachings bring about arrogance, avidity, greed and untruthfulness.  The Holy Spirit of the Lord encourages humility and modesty, contentment and righteousness...

Thoughts and feelings, when empty of divine presence and transcendental awareness, are destructive and corruptive and they become a good means for Satan to achieve his evil intentions...Sowing a rotten seed is wasting one's time and energy; likewise, learning words and ideas which are empty of light and awareness results in an increasing contamination, bondage, corruption and deviation.

Nevertheless, the Spirit of God and Satan learn from the same source - the All-Knowing and Omnipotent Lord.  However, He guides every one according to his intentions and thoughts.  If one's thoughts are pure, radiant and sublime, God guides him through His Holy Spirit towards the source of light, purity and higher positions.  But if one's thoughts are evil, gloomy and corrupt, He guides him towards degradation, evil, obscurity, pain and agony.  Things are as simple as that...

"By the soul and Him that molded it and inspired it with knowledge of sin and piety." *
